Technology changes so quickly that it can feel impossible to keep up.
Maybe you want to use your phone or computer more confidently, or you’re looking for tools that can make reading, writing, organization, communication, or everyday life easier. Perhaps you’re trying to help a student, parent, client, friend, or family member and aren’t sure what might help.
And sometimes you simply need a real person to say, “Here’s what I’d try next.”
That’s why I created the Tech Life Inner Circle (TLIC).
It’s a small, supportive community where we meet live every Wednesday to explore practical technology, ask questions, troubleshoot problems, and brainstorm solutions together.
You do not need to be a “tech person.” Curiosity is enough.
Each week begins with a short 10–15 minute Tech Talk focused on one or more of six areas:
Accessibility • Executive Functioning/ Productivity • AI • Learning Support• Aging Well • New Everyday Tech
The goal is to expose you to what you may not realize exists and gradually build a practical toolkit of features, strategies, and resources you can actually use.
But the Tech Talk is only the beginning.
Most of our hour is devoted to “Ask Me Anything.”
Members bring questions they’ve been stuck on, technology they can’t quite figure out, situations involving someone they’re trying to help, or simply something new they’d like to explore.
We troubleshoot and compare options. I demonstrate tools. We brainstorm together.
And you’re always welcome to just listen. Quite often, someone else asks the question you didn’t even know you had.
Tomorrow: Discover Substack
Tomorrow’s Tech Talk is Discover Substack: Curate What You Read, Share What You Know.
If you’ve been hearing about Substack but aren’t really sure what it is, I’ll show you how to find writers and topics you enjoy, follow newsletters, personalize your experience, and even explore sharing your own ideas if writing interests you.
Here’s a sneak peek at what else is coming this fall:
October: We’ll explore Ecosia, an interesting generative AI options with a focus on privacy and the environment; learn faster ways to find lost emails and files; look at ways AI can coach learning rather than simply provide answers; uncover red flags for AI voice, text, and email scams; and learn how profiles and Projects can make your favorite AI chatbot more useful.
November: We’ll look at ways to make social media safer for kids and teens, discover the dictation tools already built into the devices you own, and explore accessibility features that can make a smartphone easier to see, navigate, and use.
December: We’ll see how a group of trusted sources can become an audio overview, mind map, flashcards, quiz, and more with Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM); explore live captions for conversations, calls, videos, meetings, and noisy gatherings; and finish the year with ways to use AI as a thinking partner when you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or simply don’t know where to begin.
And if you miss a session, that’s okay. Every Tech Talk is recorded, and members also have access to a growing library of more than two years of previous talks.
