As we head into the holiday season, many of us start thinking about gifts, gatherings, and traditions. It’s also a great moment to pause, reset, and take a look at how we’re using everyday technology to stay connected, productive, and engaged.

If you’ve been feeling a bit left behind with all the rapid changes—smart assistants in every room, new AI-powered features, the growing expectation to use Google tools for collaboration—you’re definitely not alone. Technology now touches almost every part of life, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed when you’ve been busy focusing on everything else or didn’t think you needed to bother figuring it out. You were fine doing things the way you always had- but now you realize you need to make a change.

The good news is that the holidays create natural opportunities to receive support from or offer help to the people around you.

Use these gatherings as a “tech reset” moment.

  • Ask younger family members or those who may be more tech savvy to show you new features, help you organize files or photos, set up a smart assistant, or troubleshoot something frustrating you.

  • Speak with older adults or struggling students who may be feeling isolated or disconnected. A simple conversation about their needs can open doors to tools that reduce loneliness, increase engagement, and support daily life.

And remember, everyone experiences the holidays in a unique way. Some people thrive on the excitement and togetherness, while others need more quiet, predictability, or space.

A fresh Start for 2026

I’ll soon be announcing several new offerings for 2026 that I’m really excited about. These programs will continue to support aging adults, neurodiverse learners, caregivers, busy professionals, and anyone who wants to feel more confident using everyday tech to improve communication, organization, productivity, learning, and independence.

Most of the tech tips and cool features I highlight are free and already included on the everyday devices you already use, or have been thinking about purchasing.

In the meantime, you’re welcome to join us inside the Tech Life Inner Circle. It’s a warm, friendly space where you can explore new apps, devices, and features without judgment or pressure. Each session includes simple demonstrations, helpful tips, and ample time for questions and real-life problem-solving. Members also get access to an entire library of recorded Tech Talks! You’ll be surrounded by people who are learning right alongside you.

If the holidays feel like a good time to start fresh, we’d love to have you with us.

Join us once as my holiday gift to you. Just reply to this email, and I’ll send you our schedule.

Need to talk it through to see if it is a good fit or you, brainstorm a quick tech solution, explore individual support options or discuss having me create customized presentation for a group? Book a quick 15-minute call.

Wishing you a peaceful and joyful holiday season surrounded by those you care about!
