This is For You if:
You’ve heard of the World of Google, but don’t know how to sign into Chrome and aren’t familiar with Chrome extensions or how to use Google products on your phone to help with organization and productivity.
You are eager to be shown how your digital devices and online resources can make it easier to read, write, and stay organized so it is easier to keep up everything you need to do.
You are trying to promote independence, and accomplishment for yourself or someone you know (perhaps a family member or someone you help at work) who struggles with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia or executive functioning challenges.
You realize that you need someone else to streamline this process for you. It’s just too overwhelming and frustrating to move forward alone and you are motivated to invest your time and money to get the results you want.
You will take advantage of the resources and group as well as 1:1 support during the Challenge and plan to do your best to implement suggestions and reach out for help as needed when you hit stumbling blocks along the way.

What is the course format and schedule?
- After registration, you will be invited to complete a form to help me learn a bit more about you and your situation. We will begin to create your 30-day individualized Action Plan with attainable goals.
- Throughout the 30-days, you will receive emails with additional resources and laser-focused videos as well as additional content to promote learning.
- Video-content will be rolled out during the course. If you fall behind, no worries. Once the videos are available to view, they will remain available during the remainder of the Challenge and for up to 2 weeks after the Challenge ends.
- Online brainstorming sessions will be available twice a week during the 30 days. It will be our time to talk as a group about successes as well as frustrations and to provide additional support of the information shared in the videos you watch during the week.. I will do my best to vary the times and days, realizing that we may be living in different time zones.
What will I learn?
By the end of this course, you will be on your way to using your computer and/or mobile devices (tablet and phone) to help with reading, writing, managing time, and staying organized. You will be much more aware of all that is available and will have taken a deep dive into a few of the features that are potentially appropriate solutions for your situation. Lessons will include immediately actionable items featuring skills you can start using on Day 1 to help with daily life. At the end of the 30 days, you will have a framework and knowledge of features, a set of new helpful habits and specific customized technologies for moving forward.
What resources will I need?
You need a fast reliable internet connection to access this course on a computer or mobile device and an average of 30 minutes a day or a few hours a week. No new content will be provided over the weekend so you can use that time to catch up and practice using new tech tools and strategies you learned during the week. This mini-course is designed for individuals who have a basic knowledge of using a computer, downloading content from the internet, creating online accounts and reading online content. You certainly don’t have to be a computer expert. Participants will be asked to create a Google account, download the Chrome browser and configure settings of devices and apps in order to explore new resources using visual supports that are provided in the course. The most important requirement for this course is that you have the desire to learn new skills and time to explore.
Why should I take this course when the media is filled with stories on how technology can be harmful?
How do I know if this is the right course for me?
I developed this course with parents, tutors, therapists and educators in mind, but it can be taken by all who want to learn more about using the features of their technologies to help with organization, productivity and managing attention. Many of us are digital immigrants. Digital technologies did not exist when we were younger and we may feel left behind as we observe the “digital natives” taking advantage of their devices that feel overwhelming to us.
Will I be able to view all of the course at once to just find the resources I want to explore now?
Aren't schools and therapy clinics as well as vocational and rehabilitation centers already doing what is best?
What if I can’t afford the registration fee?
Do you offer CEUs or Certificates of Completion?
Who are you?
Hi! I’m Joan Green. If you want to learn more about me and what I do, check out my website, my LinkedIn page, and the Innovative Speech Therapy Facebook page. I have written several books, speak nationally and provide a wide variety of unique therapy, coaching and training programs. I am the mother of 4 grown children, owner of a yellow lab and spaniel/ border collie rescue, and have a passion for learning how technology can improve the lives of people young and old with communication, cognitive, literacy and learning challenges.
Will these tools replace professional consultations?
My books and courses are aimed at making families and professionals aware of the many affordable resources that exist to help improve lives. This Challenge and the books that I have written do not replace the training and judgment of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, special educators and other related professionals.
